About the Mexicana magic mushroom strain
The name Mexicana serves as a memento of the beginnings of magic mushroom culture in the western world. In the 1950s, the curandera Maria Sabina invited Gordon R. Wasson to a velada in her hut. This later resulted in the newspaper article „Seeking the Magic Mushroom“ and the rest is history.
Confusingly Psilocybe Mexicana a completely different species of magic mushroom, but has nothing to do with this strain. But that's how they are, the Strain names, Jedi Mind F*ck wasn't found in the galaxy of Star Wars either...
