About the Colombia magic mushroom strain

Terrence McKenna's book True Hallucinations reports on the author's trip to Colombia, but above all on their magic mushroom experiences there.

And it is highly likely that it is precisely this book that gave Colombia Strain its name. Colombia is largely covered by rainforest and is still home to several peoples whose relationship with powerful plants goes back many thousands of years. There in the Amazon, the use of ayahuasca (yahe) is particularly common, but this book is all about mushrooms.

Colombia does not necessarily come from Colombia, but has been presenting itself for decades with the myth of the rainforest: herbal medicine, jungle and millennia-old tradition.
